Another solid week! The only downside was Juan wasn´t baptized :( He had a family situation come up and wasn´t able to be baptized, but we are going to reschedule for this week! Charles was able to completely stop smoking, which is a huge accomplishment! He is going to be baptized Saturday so keep him in your prayers.
Last p-day Sister Ferreira and I attempted to make chocolate chip cookies, and they actually turned out pretty good! The only thing we couldn´t find was chocolate chips haha so we used a knock-off of M&Ms instead.
Our new ward mission leader gave a talk yesterday on missionary work that was awesome! He talked about how the members can help the missionaries by going to lessons with us, which is a HUGE help. Investigators really need friends to feel comfortable in a new situation. We are really excited :) (Our mission leader actually served in João Pessoa and knows Robbie! His name in Júnior Coelho.)
I had a little revelation in Relief Society yesterday. We were talking about the importance of families and how families can be eternal, and I read in the manuel that only in the Celestial Kingdom ("heaven") will we exist in family units. I already knew that, but it finally occured to me that families are one of the greatest blessings Heavenly Father has to give us. It´s a blessing so great that only the most faithful will have families after this life! It just goes to show where our priorities should be :)
I am so grateful for my family and for the knowledge that we can be together forever. I know that God´s plan is a plan of happiness. He has so many blessings in store for us if we will just obey the commandments and endure to the end. Thanks for all your love and support!
Love,
Sister Lopez
