This has been the craziest week of the mission so far. Not only was I transferred, but I´m also training and opening an area for Sisters. I am now in the city Arapiraca which is the interior of Alagoas. My "daughter" is Sister Moura. She´s from São Paulo and is 19 (and older than me by 2 weeks haha.) She joined the chuch at 16 and she is the only member of the church in her family. I think she´s pretty awesome! We spent the night of transfers in Maceió, and the next day, Wednesday, they dropped Sister Rasmussen, Sister Gama, Sister Moura, and me off in Arapiraca. Sister Rasmussen was also transferred and is training Sister Gama. So the four of us are brand new and trying to figure out where everything is haha. But our apartment is brand new too so that´s pretty cool. The ward here is awesome! They haven´t had sisters in years so everyone is really excited to help us.
My thought for this week is something my dad always says: "Don´t sweat the small stuff." Sister Moura is my 5th companion so far in the mission. Every companion has been totally different, and I´ve learned/am learning that life is way better when you don´t focus on the little things that bother you. This applies to everything in life. I´m way happier when I focus on the positive things around me. Let go of the little things you can´t change. Relax, live, love, and be happy! Have a great week!
Love,
Sister Lopez
